A few family members have asked me about how I wanted to decorate the baby's room. I don't know!!! Its so far away! Plus, it's not like the baby is actually going to sleep in the room for a least 6 months after the baby is born. I co-sleep at night with my babies for many reasons. So, the idea wasn't in my head. I just thought we would do the room after the baby is born. We are not going to find out the gender so, it just seemed to make sense to wait. But, it did getting me thinking about what I wanted it to look like. Also, Michael informed me he wanted to have it ready before the baby arrived. I think he just enjoys feeling productive.
I think decorating to nursery it one of the more fun things preparing for a baby's arrival. It gets you excited! Not that the huge belly sticking a mile out in front of you dose not. I just think it is a more tangible occurrence of the baby's arrival.
With Niko we found out the sex so we went with boy, boy, boy. Guitars, records and animal print with colors of blue , black , red and yellow. I think this time I want to step away from the " over-the-top" baby and kid looking room and go with something a little more classic and modern. Something that could be gender neutral with colors of yellow, black, gray, white and splashes of brown. Really, in a way, maybe something that looks like it is out of a Urban Outfitters catalog. Here are some of my ideas....
No, pink though!
Love this but without the numbers. Maybe some clear crystal knobs instead. What do y'all think?
