Though this isn't a blog about the pregnancy, I thought I would share Niko hunting for eggs.
We had a lovely Easter, or what we call Resurrection Day in our house. We had planned to go to church but with Niko still sick we decided to stay home and to not share his germs.
About 11am a tree fell next door and ripped the whole power line down. I thought for sure we would have to change plans for dinner but JEA worked very hard to get the power back on and at 2pm it did! Just the time I had planned to start cooking.
While the power was out we dyed eggs which Niko loved. But, gave Mike and I heart attacks. We kept imaging the cups of dye tipping over. They, surprisingly did not!
My mother joined us for dinner and when she arrived we sent daddy out to hide the eggs. Niko did very well finding the eggs and enjoyed it very much. After he found all the eggs we tried to hide them again but Niko would scream if we took the eggs out of his basket. So we had to be very sneaky.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner and ended it with a yummy "melting" coconut cake. All-in-all we had a very nice day.
