So, around 12-20 most women start to need maternity clothes. The tightness around you lower belly becomes uncomfortable, pressing down on your bladder. Not fun! I don't know about you but, I love to get new clothes! But when you start looking for new maternity clothes you can be let down pretty quickly. They either are affordable and not cute or well made and not really your style or they are super cute, totally in style but RIDICULOUSLY expensive! Which to me is stupid you only wear them for about 6- 10 months! Now, with a lot of luck and time and effort you can find affordable clothing. Like Consignment, Craigslist is great and so is Ebay. But very time consuming.
I saw an ad in a local pregnancy magazine that there is a store called Petunia Patch Boutique on southside that specializes in consignment maternity clothing. Well, I went and I laughed! The store only had about 10 items starting at the "low" price or $36 of a shirt and the only thing that I liked was a jersey dress that was $84. They are used clothing!!! Those store owners are somkin crack! Anyway....
So , yesterday my mom wanted to meet at River City Market Place for Lunch. I went to my closet and realized that I had no pants to wear. My dresses were in the laundry. Whats a girl to do? Well, you make your own! Here is pics of me making maternity jeans in 15 mins. Anyone can make them! Especially if you cheat like me.
Here is a picture of me and my mom eating a healthy, high protein lunch.
