The Higley's 2013

Goodbye 2012, hello 2013!!

2012 is going down in the book of Higley for being one of the best!
Our family became complete with the laughter of WuWu in play with monster.  Papa Higley moved careers and hasn't missed his old one. God answered prayers by opening windows and kicking down doors. Our family has never been closer now that a foundation has been built on Christ.
We've gained wonderful new friends and loving family members that have been out of touch. We've said goodbye to our beloved Poppy as he went to be with the lord and joyfully celebrated his life. There has been tears of joy and tears of heartache this year. There have been moments of certainty and moments of doubt ...mostly my ability to juggle two kids so strongly willed. But mostly there has been moments of joy. Christ healed more then my heart this year. He healed my soul and our family's wounds. He brought a year of health (maybe not physical ..LOL!  Lord knows colds ran the house this year!) But, He brought health where we/ I needed it. He showed me that I am called to serve rather than save. And a high light this year was the gift of paper plates! Seriously,  I want to hug the woman who invented those! 

2013 has the theme of adventure for our family . We plan to take our very first family vacation. We plan on tackleing home repairs. And kicking Procrastination to the crub.Wish our family luck as we tackle full GAPS and GAPS intro this new year. We plan to take charge of our health.  Our little ones will be chauffeured to ,soccer practice and games, dance practice, Occupational therapy ,and speech therapy. We plan to revisit Homeschooling. We plan to visit and learn from all the amazing things to do in our own city that we've taken for granted.   We look forward to building relationships with our church family members And our own family members .I'm excited about opportunity to council and mentor women in our community and looking forward to the education I will be receiving in April.  We as a family are expecting God to do big, BIG things this year and we can't wait to see how he moves!

From our family to yours , we wish the best year in 2013 filled with joy, love, and laughter! And if there is a hard season in the upcoming year, may you feel God as the rock underneath you.
